Street Racers Kill Innocent People
In a separate incident at around 1:40 a.m. Monday, police said three people were hospitalized after street racers forced a sport utility vehicle off the road.
INTERACTIVE MAP: An SUV was run off Watson Road by street racers.
Investigators said two cars were racing on Watson Road when one driver cut off the driver of a red Ford Mustang. That sent the Mustang smashing into an SUV that had not been involved in the illegal street race.
The Mustang and the SUV plunged down an embankment. The three who were injured were all in the SUV.
Arlington police took one person into custody from the Mustang. He claimed that he had been a passenger and that the driver fled the scene.
The second car involved in the street race did not stop to help the victims, police said.
